Experience the Leader Area Pig Races

Just a quick 22-minute drive north you’ll find Leader—a north central town with a very small population that hosts up to 400 people on Friday and Saturday nights during the summer months for the Leader Area Pig Races.

The Bear’s Den
Memorial Day – Labor Day | Fridays & Saturdays, 7pm

The Bear’s Den restaurant and bar features a pig race arena, where visitors can pay $3 to watch five to six piglets race around a set course. The audience gets to cheer for their section’s color of pig and enjoy watching the piglets squeal and run by! This friendly competition generates a lot of fun, and the lucky winners receive a t-shirt.

Many groups visit the Leader Area (LA) Pig Races during bachelor and bachelorette parties, for a family night out, or as a stop along the ATV trails. Here, the audience competes in events like bubble gum chewing contests and bouncy horse races. The laughs and fun will make you want to come back with your family and friends and make sure people have experienced what the Leader Area Pig Races are all about.
