Get into the festive spirit with the North Pole Drive-Through Light Display, a cherished holiday tradition in Staples, Minnesota. Held annually at Pine Grove Park, this hidden gem is located just off of Highway 10 and is the perfect holiday experience for the whole family!
Here are 5 Tips to Make the most of your North Pole Lights Display Visit:
- Get Cozy!
Pull out those Christmas pajamas, sweaters, blankets, and whatever else you want to make the drive cozy and comfortable. There is no such thing as too cozy! - Stop in town for a bite to eat
Whatever you’re craving, Staples has a spread of fantastic options for a delicious dinner before or after you experience the lights display. - Be Ready to take Pictures
This winter wonderland of twinkling lights and holiday cheer makes for a wonderful opportunity to grab some fun and festive pictures! The beautiful light tunnels, charming scenes of mischievous else at Santa’s workshop and more, will have you wanting to snap pictures left and right. Be sure to drive slow so that you don’t miss anything!
- Bring Hot Chocolate and Snacks
A family favorite tradition to is load up the car with the kids, each armed with a warm cup of hot chocolate and a bag of popcorn or their favorite snacks. Families love to take their time, sometimes making multiple passes through the dazzling display to savor every detail.
5. Have Kids bring their Letters for Santa
Have your kids get those letters for Santa ready so that they can bring them along and them drop off, adding an extra touch of holiday magic to the experience.
There is no need to drive to a big city to experience the joys of a holiday lights display. Instead, they are just off the beaten path and easily accessible without the need to wait in a long line or worry about a large cost, truly highlighting the gifts a small town offers those who live here and those who visit.
This family-friendly event operates on a free-will donation basis. With all the care and creativity poured into this display, this experience beautifully captures the spirit of Staples. Come and experience the magic as often as your heart desires this holiday season!
The display runs every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5 PM to 8 PM, starting November 29 and continuing through December 29. Please note that buses are not permitted.
